WisDOT's expedited lettings
Process Overview:
The expedited letting process is used for any project that requires prompt action sooner than could be accomplished through the normal letting process.
In order to minimize disruption of the regular letting process, the project will be let
within a week rather than the second week of the letting month.
Contractors interested in bidding on the project must be:
- Prequalified prior to the advertisement
- All bids must be submitted electronically
- Bidders must have a digital signature certificate with Bid Express
- Current annual bid bond and certificate of insurance on file
- Bidders must request permission to bid using the Proposal Request Form
(DT1633)
- Payment and performance bonds will be required
